President Terry:  Opened today’s meeting by greeting everyone.  The flag salute was led by Kanti and Terry provided the thought for today.

Guests and visiting Rotarians:

Don had wife Mary and daughter Karen, visiting from Australia.


  • Oct 10th is the next Rotary Board Meeting at 12:30p
  • Oct 12th is the Rotary meeting that the DG will visit our club. All board members are asked to arrive at La Strada by 10:30a.
  • Terry reminded us that we need to pay for our Rotary shirts.
  • Sal announced that the Red Oak Victory Ship is serving the last pancake breakfast for this year on Sunday from 9a to 1p. Head on down to the ship and enjoy
  • Terry asked us to all stand and we gave a huge round of applause to Sonya for her outstanding work with the Sip and Savor.


Happy Dollars:    

Nancy is happy about the Sip and Savor.  Michael is $20 happy for the sip and savor.  Don is happy his daughter is visiting from Australia and also happy that Rafael’s sons were so helpful at the Sip and Savor.  Gary is happy that Norma and her friends had so much fun at Sip and Savor.  Kanti is happy to be back to Rotary and excited with new grandson Shaun and being able to play with him.  Jack is happy that Rafael’s sons were so key in helping the golf event at Sip and Savor.   Sonya was happy about the great branding work that Tracy did for the club and it showed at the event.  Marty is happy that Sonya secured a photographer to get pictures at Sip and Savor.  Terry is happy about Sip and Savor and all the great things that happened.

Terry shared the Rotary video – You are champions. 

Today’s Program.   John introduced our guest speaker:  Mimi Zemmelman  an organizational consultant who provides services that help leaders in organizations get the best from their business by understanding how to get everything in the business in alignment   In short, her work is all about getting everything in alignment to have the organization work toward growing more successful.    She summarized the work she does with businesses to help them move toward the future by applying high performance organizational concepts and getting the people in alignment with the vision of the future.  In short know what the organization wants and moving toward that future by knowing what it takes to do that. 

Mimi answered a lot of questions and everyone enjoyed the presentation she made.

Raffle Winners:  Jack won the bottle of wine.  Jack also had his ticket pulled for the marble game and gave the chance to Don’s daughter Karen and she selected a blue marble winning $2.  Next week the jackpot will be $145.  Sarah also brought a flower arrangement that Jorge won.
