Then we learned how the Pacific Ocean got its name.

Today’s Program:  Terry introduced Jennifer Martin who is an estate attourney to speak to us about estate planning and the importance of having an estate plan.  This was a valuable presentation for everyone because it identified the importance things about having an estate plan and pointed out the challenges of not having one.  Jennifer gave us examples of famous people who did and did not have estate plans and addressed the challenges we all face, especially if we leave this earth without the proper plan in place.  As we have learned in the past, a revocable trust is one of the best ways to address this eventuarlity.  Jennifer gave us examples of famous people who did not have the appropriate documents and how the outcome were not as effective as those that did have the documents.  Jennifer gave use examples of what happens when there us examples of what happnes when we do not have the documentation required.  Also remember that having a revocable trust will wllow you to avoid Probate.

Thought for the Week:

If you have thought about your family and what you need to do to make sure you do everything necessary when you pass on.  Take action on those items that seem incomplete.
