Todays Program:

Manish Doshi was our guest speaker today and Andy conducted a speaker interview with Manish.  We learned that Manish came to the US at 7 years old and landed in NY wher he was escorted through the immigration procedure and live with his family.  Manish gave us a snap shot of his becoming a soccar coach which he continued to do for over twenty years.  Andy asked him to tell us how that progressed as the years went on.  Manish gave us an indepth perspective of his experience with field fees, use of fields and a number of other important area’s affecting youth sports.  Manish was part of the EC team that dealt with the fees, scheduling and field access while he was with the Park and Recreation Dept of EC.  He gave us a very infromative and passionate presentation which covered a lot of the workings of this key sporting function.  Manish throughout his presentation focused on the importance of youth sport and what it does for the health of the participants.   He is still coaching and is quite passionate his occupation and advocation.  This was a great presentation.  I apologize for not having a picture but I am still working the bugs out of my handheld and my computer.  I hope you were able to be in attendance today as it was a very quality presentation and President Elect Andy did a great job in the format that was used.

See everyone next Thursday for the District Governor’s visit.  Remember to be there at 10a!!
