President Marty:  Opened the Zoom meeting by greeting everyone.  We had an excellent collection of Rotarians today.  Marty checked in with each of us to see how we are doing.

Guests & Visiting Rotarians:  None today

Sgt at Arms:  Not on duty today but he told us today was National Hamburger day

Happy Dollars:   Not done today

Today’s Program:   There was no official program for today.  President Marty check in with each of us to see what is going on.  John Hoagland told us about his cardiact challenge that cause him to have a two day stay at the hospital while the doctors got a handle on his blood pressure a couple of heart related issues and other challenges.  JOHN is doing well. And will continue under the doctors observation.  Join us next week for another update or give John a call and check in with him!Andy is keeping busy and he was doing the Zoom meeting from his vehicle while being in the south bay.  George reported that he and Norma are continuing their daily bicycling.  Jack reminded us of the great articles in the Rotarian Magazine and encouraged everyone to read the magazine cover to cover twice through (actually that is what I would suggest.  Marty reported the Trail Trekkor signs are all put up and there is just the entrance sign to be finished up.  The trail begin just outside the El Cerrito Recycling.  Go check it out and see the handiwork of our fellow Rotarians.  Big thank you to Lee and others for everything they did.  Marty told us about his new employment as a service writer for a repair shop on Appian Way in El Sobrante.  He will be working 30 hours a week so this will keep him busy and a paycheck coming in.

There was also some talk about the rebuilding of Paradise and the Rotary International pledge to assist with this effort.  Jack pointed out that he had heard that about 2 million has been pledged for this effort.  We will learn more in the near future.

We discussed the the need to pay our club RI dues and our Dist 5160 dues.  We will have our treasurer send out invoices to the membership so we can keep up.

Todays Raffle:  Not done today.   It will return when we resume regular meetings at the Berkeley Country Club.

Thought for the Day:  Never count the Rotarians spirit out.  We will thrive and overcome every time we need to!!
